English & Maths Tutor

Remedy tutors are looking for enthusiastic and engaging QTS teachers/tutors to support pupils on a 1:3 basis. We currently have availability across Redbridge and Havering, and we are looking for tutors based in close proximity to these locations.

We have seen an increase in demand for specialists in core subjects (English and Maths) and have opportunities to support both primary and secondary pupils, so welcome teachers with QTS from any background.

Pupils may need tuition for a variety of reasons, including:

• Behavioural difficulties (pupils excluded from school and awaiting a new placement)

• Emotional needs including school phobia or anxiety

• Medical needs

• Relocation and awaiting a school placement

• Improvement in grades

• Support with GCSE preparation

Successful applicants will need:

• Qualified Teacher with QTS or equivalent; ideally withing a core specialism (English, Maths or Primary)

• Experience with primary or secondary aged children

• Experience working with children in a tuition capacity (desirable)

We provide a competitive hourly rate at £20p/h and there is scope for you to support multiple students allowing you to choose either full or part time hours. This role is ideal for someone looking for flexibility and to be in charge of their own schedule.

In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
